R SIGNALS win the Lawson Cup!

Royal Signals Rugby League have defeated Sapper Rugby League in the 2017 Lawson Cup Final.

The Army Rugby League Lawson (Inter-Corps) Cup Final was held in Aldershot Rugby Stadium on Wed 26 Jul 17, where the Royal Signals beat the Royal Engineers 20 – 14 in an outstanding game and advertisement for Corps Rugby League, where the scores were 6 – 6 at half time and 8 – 8 with 15 minutes to go. The President of Army Rugby League; Major General Richard Semple CBE presented the Lawson Cup to the Royal Signals Rugby League team, who were crowned Corps champions for the first time in the history of the competition. The Infantry beat the REME 36 – 24 in the 3rd v 4th play-off game that preceded the Final and the Spartans (RAPTC/AMS) beat the AGC in the first of the three games played, as part of a great 2017 Lawson Cup Final event.

Lawson Cup 2018 fixtures announced The Lawson Cup will be contested between April and July 2018.
